3D Design

At B3D Labs, we provide professional 3D design services to support fabrication, prototyping, and custom projects that bridge design and physical production. Our team has worked with marketing agencies, artists, and product teams to develop print-ready digital models for downstream manufacturing processes.

Our team creates 3D models from rough concepts, sketches, reference materials, or scan data for replication, production, or modification. We offer design strategy, technical modeling, reverse engineering, and file preparation to ensure every project is accurate from the client's vision to physical output.

3D Scanning

B3D Labs also does professional high-resolution industrial 3D scanning services for sculpture replications, auto parts reverse engineering, digital archiving, and supporting the fabrication process. We have worked with artists, scenic fabricators, manufacturers, design teams, and entrepreneurs to capture physical objects or people to deliver precise digital files both in-house and on-site.

Our team used professional-grade equipment to 3D scan objects ranging from the size of a ping pong ball to a full-sized car. Our team translates scan data into accurate 3D models optimized for design development, 3D printing, or other fabrication methods. We handle scanning, file cleanup, and modification to align with your requirements.

3D scanning can be performed in our Brooklyn office or on-site. B3D Labs operates as your partner from scanning to file conversion to 3D printing, if desired. Submit a form to get started, and our team will be in touch!

Post Processing

Along with 3D design, printing, and scanning, B3D Labs also provides professional 3D print post-processing and finishing services to refine printed parts for presentation, functionality, and final use. We work with artists, product teams, agencies, and manufacturers to transform raw 3D prints into polished, production-ready objects that meet both aesthetic and technical requirements.

Our team uses professional tools and finishing techniques to improve surface quality, structural integrity, and visual appearance. We handle sanding, support removal, sealing, priming, painting preparation, and assembly to ensure each part is clean, accurate, and ready for its intended application.

Post-processing services are performed in our Brooklyn studio as part of a full fabrication workflow. B3D Labs operates as your partner from initial print through final finishing. Submit a form to get started, and our team will be in touch!

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer 3D scanning, 3D design and modeling, sculpture replication and resizing, full-color 3D printing, and post-processing and finishing. We cover everything from digitizing an existing object to designing and finishing a brand-new one.

No. If you have a file, we can print from it. If you don't, we can 3D scan an existing object or design a file from scratch based on a sketch, reference image, or concept discussion.

Yes. We 3D scan the original piece, then reproduce it at the same scale or resize it up or down. usually used by artists to enlarge a maquette to exhibition scale, by museums creating display replicas, and by galleries producing archival reproductions.

3D scanning turns a physical object into a digital file, which we then use for replication, resizing, archiving, or modification. It's commonly used by artists, museums, and designers working from an existing object rather than starting from a blank file.

Yes. Full-color 3D printing lets us produce pieces with color built directly into the material, useful for detailed display pieces, presentation models, and objects where painting afterward isn't practical or desired.

Post-processing covers sanding, support removal, priming, painting, and assembly the work that turns a raw print into a finished, presentation-ready object.

Yes. Our 3D design service starts from wherever you are: a sketch, a reference photo, or just a conversation about what you're trying to make. We build it into a printable, finished file.

Artists and sculptors, museums and galleries, brands, and designers without CAD experience all come to us whether they're digitizing something that already exists or creating something new.

Pricing varies widely by service; scanning and design work is typically quoted per project based on complexity, while replication and resizing depend on scale and finish. Send us your object or concept, and we'll quote based on the actual work involved.

Tell us what you're working with: an existing object to scan or replicate, or a concept you want designed and printed, along with any reference images or files. Our project lead reviews every inquiry and responds within one to three business days.
